Fox and Warner are duking it out (legally speaking) over the new Zack Snyder flick "Watchmen." I have to admit, I'm a little excited to see it, despite the fact it's a Zack Snyder flick. Visually it looks pretty amazing. Anyhow, you can read about the case here: r
I received these free Netflix DVD rental codes in the mail today. I already have Netflix but I thought someone else might want to use the codes. The offer is 1 month of free rentals with of course free shipping both ways. The normal free trial period is 2-weeks so these codes are a deal since they offer a 4-week free trial. The codes are only good until 31 Oct 2008 and can only be used once so use them soon.
Here are the codes. Copy/paste one of the codes in the applicable spot when you register.
I gave myself the longest break ever - from Tuesday up to Saturday.
I did not touch any work, just watch plenty of television, read other magazines and simply chilled at home. And on Saturday, I had a delicious Oreo butter cake made by baby with plenty of TLC. I finished up while we sat through "The Maid" on cable television. After that we watched a Jackie Chan and Shu Qi flick, 'Gorgeous'. That's a movie which I caught during secondary school man. But nevertheless, it was still entertaining.
Though my past may be flawed, somehow I wish I could start with a clean slate. And, I'm confident I can be a person who'll commit to my partner, take good care of her and do the housework. Of course, the plenty of laughter and crapping I'd share together with her. No matter what happens, I will always give my best.
And tonight, I didn't bring my license out while I drove out. Got stopped by a Traffic Police road block. They did a check on my particulars and let me go after that.
Let me tell you guys something. I do what I do because I love it. Whether I'm writing scripts or posting on this blog, in the kitchen cooking or teaching blind kids how to play kickball, I do it because I care enough to invest the time and energy. That also includes posting 's weekly reports. They're informative, they're funny, and SG is definitely easy on the eyes. :)
While I'm sure her and MySpace page get many more hits than my blog, I still feel this is an effective way to disseminate information that's useful to all interested in what's going on in Hollywood. I'm not doing it for propers or popularity.
So when I saw that I'd been replied to in a post I made on one of SG's videos, it was pretty darn heartwarming to see who'd written me and what they'd said.
Duly noted, SG. I appreciate you as well. Thanks for the info and the friendship. :)
Okay, okay, enough mushy stuff, right? Peep the latest after the jump.

The movie will be a romantic comedy. New Line execs Richard Brener and David Neustatder will oversee.

Fox 2000 has emerged from a competitive bidding situation with the rights to "Water for Elephants," Sara Gruen's best-selling historical love story. Fox 2000 beat out Warner Bros., Universal and Paramount for the project, in part because the producing team and director were won over by the company's passion and track record with literary adaptations and the attention it gives them. The book centers on a 90-year-old man reminiscing about his life and is set during the Depression, when he found work at a B-level circus taking care of the animals. He sees the brutality of circus life while falling for the wife of an abusive animal trainer. The book was on the 2006 New York Times best-seller list for 12 weeks and made the list again last year when it was released in paperback. More than 2 million paperbacks have been sold. Francis Lawrence is attached to direct ("I Am Legend"), and Richard LaGravenese repped by CAA, is one of the town's most in-demand adapters. He wrote the recent book-to-film translations of "P.S. I Love You" and "Freedom Writers." Pic will be produced by Andrew Tennenbaum, Gil Netter and Erwin Stoff. Fox 2000 president Elizabeth Gabler is overseeing the project, along with SVP of production Rodney Ferrell.

Fox is developing a contemporary take on the classic Walt Disney tale of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" from producers Chris Brancato and Bert Salke, feature writers David Weissman and David Diamond and director Ken Kwapis, who most recently directed the upcoming feature comedy "He's Just Not That Into You." Kwapis also helmed the pilot for NBC's "The Office." Tentatively titled "Georgia and the Seven Associates," the hourlong dramedy, produced by ABC Studios, is tonally described as "The Devil Wears Prada" meets "Taxi" set in Los Angeles' legal circles. It centers on Georgia Burnett, a young lawyer who is banished from a top law firm run by her stepmother and forced to team up with seven quirky lawyers at a storefront legal office. Some of the legal cases will be modernized fairy tales, like one about three people whose homes were taken away by Wolf Corp. ABC Studios-based Brancato and Salke got the inspiration for the project from the view from their offices on the Disney lot, which oversee the Team Disney executive building that features a fascia of the seven dwarfs holding up the roof. "Georgia" has a put pilot commitment from Fox.
Tyler Perry is an Arfican American Playwright who is know for producing, starring and directing in the majority of his palys and movies. Yet with every play Perry puts in a sense of love with Christ and the humor of that will keep you stiches. Today the movie I am going to review is Madea's Family Reunion:
In this movie, released in 2006, Tyler Perry plays a pistol carrying grandmother, also playing a smart mouthing older man, and a sleek-looking lawyer in this movie. The movie is set around Madea's family who are preparing for a family reunion and wedding. But trouble begins to stir throughout the entire movie and vindictiveness and griminess throughout the entire movie. You see Lisa(played by ) is getting married to Carlos( played by Blair Underwood) while they are engaged Carlos begins to physically abuses her and begins to threaten her with her life if she left him. Pretty soon she runs, leaving Carlos to go to Lisa's mother Victoria (played by Lynn Whitfield), who is a goldigging widow who has her hands on her daughter's inheretance, and forces Lisa to go back to him. In the mean time, Lisa's sister Vanessa( played by Lisa Arrindell Anderson, no relation) is having internal conflicts with trust men. With the fathers of her two younger children either in jail or want nothing to do with them. But she meets a wonderful man falls hard for him.The realtion ship is tested but they both come out on top.
In the meanwhile, Madea, who is use to the Atlanta court system, is assigned to take care of a teenager Nikki( played by Keke Palmer). This starts off as a challenge for both of the characters, to keep each other from killing each other but towards the end they end up acting as family. That's the message that Tyler Perry brings through of all of his movies: No matter what the situation, God and your family will be there to help you through it."
come on. you remember 2ge+her, i know you do. back in 2000, mtv made a little movie to parody the boy band phenomenon taking over the music industry at the time (nsync, basketstreet boys, 98 degrees et al). little did they know the movie would become a cult classic and the band would actually sell records. made up of every clichd component of an everyday boy band, 2ge+her's songs were ridiculously funny and surprisingly catchy. they even opened for britney spears for a while. you know, before she went crazy.
anyway, a friend of mine and i love the movie but haven't seen it in years. finally, someone has uploaded the hilarity onto youtube. check it out. the first part is below and the rest are linked on youtube. sweeettt.
All you Nicholas Sparks fans, cover your ears. "Disney has set Miley Cyrus to star in an untitled film that is being tailor-made for the "Hannah Montana" star by author Nicholas Sparks. The "actress" is "slowly broadening her image and transitioning to adult fare." She mentioned "A Walk to Remember" as an example of what she hoped for. "A Walk to Remember" moved Mandy Moore away from a pop persona, and similarly, Cyrus won’t sing thank God but only "act" in the Sparks drama that touches on family and romance. Sparks told Daily Variety that his first priority is to generate a novel that stands up with his reading audience and his second priority will be to then immediately insult his fans by adapting the novel into a film starring the 15-yr old phenom nuisance. Mickey is probably paying him the big bucks.
